Are crime scene departments allowed to sell this stuff at auction or on eBay for money to weirdos who like to collect the effects of serial killers and the like? Yes and there are at least a couple different reasons for this thrown around. If homosexuals were universally diseased it would make sense for them to die off early since their continued existence would only be a threat to the species and that would be the end of the line. But they keep cropping up in our species. One theory is as males they can generate resources which can help other siblings who do marry and procreate. Sort of like a brother or sister who is gay will shower presents and support on their nieces and nephews helping the genetic line of the family survive. Another theory, which also overlaps a bit with the jock vs. nerd situation in high school where the former breeds early and the latter breeds later or not at all, is that gays may contribute in other ways (e.g., scientific theory, inventions, art, literature) which don't advance their specific genetic line but help the species overall. For example, if only chads and stacies existed we would never be able to develop civilization since we would just hump each other like animals in the jungle all day.

That is definitely a factor. A child rejected, especially by a parent of the opposite sex (e.g., son not loved by his mother), will seek out the "love" elsewhere or become monastic (solitude). The latter path is more likely if they were rejected by both sexes due to social anxiety for example. I can't comment on the drug use aspect (no direct knowledge) but I don't doubt that brings another wild card (variable) into this.

I owned a "Crime Scene Cleaning" Company for almost 10 years. The vast majority of the cleanups were suicides, but back then there weren't a lot of trannies. There were a lot of sexual masturbatory auto-asphyxiation. Glad I sold it off.
