Student loans are going to melt down over the next year or so. People are just not paying. There will either be mass-garnishment and a glut of lawsuits which clog up the court system, or the government will have to cuck out and back down. Trump has been botching the student loan situation since he got back into office.

That only works if the economy is generating extra capital for younger workers which facilitates repayment. However, the pattern this year has been a lot of layoffs and a reduction in junior positions at many companies, combined with outsourcing.

Borrowers don't have enough extra cash per month to cover the debt. They can struggle to pay the minimum, but that often results in the loan growing over time due to interest. It's better for many to take the hit right away and not worry about it, rather than sinking money into a losing battle.

The real problem is that universities themselves (which got the loan money for tuition) have no responsibility here. And Trump hasn't done anything about that, even though it would be popular for him to go after greedy rich universities. Instead, he only care about 'campus anti-Semitism,' which is extremely gay and cringe to most people.

it's just an indicator of the coming market crash, loan delinquencies increase before every market crash, it starts with the small ones like student loans and credit cards, then the slightly bigger car loans, then the bigger mortgages, now it's in the stage of car loans going up starkly, it shows that people don't have money, they can't afford paying loans back, once they can't afford paying mortgages the housing market will crash, along with the car markets and largely everything, if everyone starts defaulting on everything then everything will lose value, hyperinflation will make savings worthless and the more the government tries to kick the can down the road the worse it'll get get

Anonymous (ID: djXMaJ+I) United States No.520861739 [Report] >>520869066
>>520861439
I mean that under the law, universities and banks have no liability at all for defaulted student loans. It's 100% on the feds. Which is probably why Trump's Education Department is demanding that borrowers pay up. However, they probably didn't expect such high levels of nonpayment, and now, they don't seem to have any plan at all.

Another issue is that student loans were used to back secondary financial derivatives known as SLABS (student loan asset-backed securities). The SLABS market is very hard to research, and it's not clear what happens in the financial system if the SLABS market blows up.

Because many fail to ever repay what they borrowed, for one thing. Loaning money is risky business. Also, what incentive is there for a person (or bank) to give up cash they hold right now, and could use right now to their own benefit? Unless there's some advantage to be had in the future from loaning money to someone now, nobody will do it.

We're talking about federally-backed loans, which means the government is the guarantor. In theory, the goal of the loan system was to help people get education which would improve their economic prospects and thus increase things like tax revenues over time. The initial outlay (loans) were not even the point; they were just a means of facilitating the other goals.

If borrowers are getting tangled up in the loans themselves, it means the system has failed. Student loans were not personal finance items like credit card debt; they were instruments of policy.

KEK!
I still think it's funny that these discussions even happen anymore.
From a "Play By the RULES" standpoint, your position would have merit.
But what happens when the people making the rules don't, but in fact are creating rules around a complete FALSEHOOD to begin with?
Do you KNOW what ZERO FRACTIONAL RESERVE banking is? Do you know what Hypothecation is? Do you know what DERIVATIVES of Hypothication are?
Were you aware that banks ,(yeah, the same ones we BAILED OUT IN 2008,) and their affiliate branches can give you a loan for say $100K ??
Let's try BoA at a current 6%APR for a 10 year loan:
>Bank gives you a line of credit of $100K POOF! out of nowhere, digital digits fill your card account.
>you are a good little Goy and pay back the monthly payment for $1110.21 every month for 120 months
>POOF! $33,225.2 is magically conjured out of thin air that can be used to buy things of value in the real world
>this goes on at a scale over 9000x(no joke) including every home loan and business loan
>if you default your collateral is TAKEN(remember hypothication?) house, car, business and it's "Chattel"
>This large flooding the "Money supply" occurs every day, causing YOUR dollars to be worth that much less--I.E. INFLATION in effect STEALING from youe own savings
All this because the (((BANKS))) are given the magical ability to create money out of NOTHING.
This is tantamount to playing a game of Monopoly where the "Banker" also gets to play, have utilities, collect $200, etc. but every time they have to pay rents or ANY payment, they can just pull out of the Banker tray instead of their personal money.

Still think that's a fair or even honest game?

Everyone isn't going to default on their loans, a number of people that are irresponsible with their money are going to have to declare bankruptcy. Nothing about this has anything to do with hyperinflation, which will not happen, and like most retarded /pol/faggots you are basically just stringing together things you have read from some other idiot on this forum and praying for a collapse so everyone will be as much of a loser as you.

A degree is not the only form of certification one can use to get a job, nor is anyone confined to getting only one degree. After the debtor claws themselves out of debt they should logically think about their life and the market and find something that fits their skillset.

You need more than 1
Use the kredit karma's kredit score calculator tool. To see how many cards you should add & what you need the limits. More credit helps, since they look at percentage of credit used at any given time (don't pay off many times a month... it looks like you're not using credit and it plummets... i made that mistake once)
Also spend $0.50 on the card you don't use, to keep it active that month for a payment.

Tho, you really want at least 2-3 cards:
A 2% cashback everything
& 1-2 quarterly 5% cashback carda. I like 2, since you get to do gas 2 quarters & amzn 2 quarters & grocery 2 quarters, etc.

Plus doing multiple carda earlier is better.
Since they look at avg acct age & oldest acct age (my luck, i cancelled my 1st card b/c they kept me at $300 in college. And my next one the conpany stopped doing credit cards 6yrs later. So i lost 8yrs of credit age)
I'm 857 now

all these numbers are imaginary and never existed. anyone who "loans" paper and digital numbers shouldn't realistically expect to get those pixles and paper drawings back. real lenders have skin in the game and loan items of intrinsic value.

>Fuck the college to debt slavery pipeline
>but I sincerely hope colleges and/or banks involved lose everything. Fuck them
You're an actual retard if you think student loan forgiveness would hurt banks or colleges. It would only hurt tax payers who actually work for a living and cause even more inflation. Meanwhile, the colleges who created the college debt slavery system would just make more money once education is """"""""""""""free"""""""""""""". On top of that, employers would need some new way to vet new employees since college degrees would be worthless. So enjoy paying insane taxes for "free" education and then also having to pay for some new certificate programs that employers will require if you want a job

>They'll slander you for studying underwater basket weaving
Which is funny because Boomers USED to tell everyone "Get a degree, they don't care if it's underwater basket weaving, they just want to see that you can do the required work long term, and follow through"
No shit.. I had at least 4 different Boomers tell me this in '95.

The truth is, you can never win by playing the game they set up.
That doesn't mean give up on life, just go play another game where the players all agree to play fair. Even if you have to make the game yourself.
>But you'll NEVER get away from taxes!! Especially on land and houses!1!!
There are viable work-arounds for that, but they take some work, and you'll HAVE to allow for SOME bleedover with currency.

Like many, I just hope the collapse comes soon. I will fare FAR better when this absurd FAKE munny game ends and the people who actually have merit and skills cease to be perpetually stolen from.
But don't depend on that, there have been tons of nooooticers who thought TEOTWAWKI was next year, since the 70s(when it should have started,) and died without ever having to use any of their dusty suvival gear.
It's a far better thing to quietly build up communities that HELP each other and have the skills to do most everything without outside help.
