Nuremberg is a 2025 American psychological thriller historical drama film written, co-produced, and directed by James Vanderbilt. Learning a person's reasoning and way of thinking will always get some sort of empathetic reaction from a viewer, listener, reader. Nuremberg was an exercise in silliness and this film doesn't touch on that. That Goering is charismatic in the film is natural because he was, and any attempt to show him as anything but would only lead people who be put off by how foolish it would have looked and lead them to explore him on their own. The film takes pains to try and avoid that. That the Jews in that subreddit find fault in doing this, with respect to their cause and interests, shows that they're not thinking on it with any depth what so ever, even if it's as paper thin as this.

The trials were not trials to establish guilt in the sense that modern day criminal trials do. War crime trials are not for that purpose generally and specifically the WW2 trials were absolutely not primarily for that purpose.

The purpose of the nuremburg trials was to establish a narrative for the war. The what, who, why, where, that history would record. They were not about justice, they were certainly not about the truth (which was completely immaterial), they were about the next 100 years, they were about cementing the "history" into place. Not the facts.

If you listen to the recording and read the transcripts as I have done, for dozens of hours, you will find that Goerings explanation was solid.

He was tried under german law, supposedly, but german law no-longer applied. Why? in his own words, "because we were conducting revolution", the constitution was suspended.

Sovereign is he who determines the exception, and they were the properly elected leaders. Ergo the court had no right to try them in german law.
