Air Force is the last aristocracy of America. How can it not be when we're miles above and see everything as did the gods?
I've seen from Virginia over Maryland to the Atlantic with my own eyes.
I've seen half of Crete and half the Nile with my own eyes.
I've seen so much more, in real life, with my own eyes, from above. And up close, playing where eagles dare.
I've camped in the dirt too.
I've plied the seas.
I've dared the tempest.
Imagine flying between clusters of storm miles large that would, by wind, downdraft and electrical punishment destroy your aircraft, but through daring do an a five inch radar, you thread the needle as all shakes and rumbles, and make it through alive.
I've seen literally millions of stars with my own eyes, with night vision spectacles tens of thousands of feet above the pitch black Hindu Kush. Constant, multiple shooting stars in view. With the starfield so dense, the band of the Milky Way was barely visible and you'd think space could never be empty.
I've seen the bleak mountains of Afghanistan and the entire land blanketed in pure white snow.
I've flown circles over the ruins of old Bactria, home of the Indo-Greek empire which bridged worlds.
I've soared over the hills of Vietnam, sources of such conflict, as rain washed over blood spilt and long forgotten.
Never saw the aliens in Antarctica though or fucked with Russia.
