If that was the case you'd retain your soul-memories and within a few lifetimes you'll basically be a living saint. And yet souls are sent here as blanks in the bodiies of people with violent tendencies and no impulse control over and over again. It makes no sense other than farming suffering. Imagine a teacher that gives all students rape pills after each lecture so they don't remember jack shit afterwards.

Knowledge is half the battle. If you are well aware you are about to get scammed, the scammer has little to no chance of pulling his tricks on you. I have no idea if you can resist the light tunnel or the archon brainwashing, but I hope I can. You can train mental toughness and discipline to make your mind stronger and more resistant to manipulation.
