There's "milestones" in marketing now. The first one is 1 second. Within 1 second, the person has decided whether they are going to ignore what's in front of them. The next is 3 seconds. The next is 8 seconds. If they watch the first 8 seconds then there's a good chance they'll watch the next 5 minutes.
So any clips have to be visually interesting in the first 1-8 seconds. Which means to go viral and promote your brand then the shortest distance that that is choreographed flippy shit. This is a variant on that. The reason these finishes exist is because they want to spawn highlights which prompt discussion about the wrestlers. They weren't trying to entertain an audience.
