UWF didn't have 3 generations of people sick of a WWE monopoly and wanting an alternative. UWF didn't have 2 generations of WWE fans who grew up expecting the least of their wrestling. UWF have a Japanese company making strides in America to steal their momentum from. UWF didn't have big daddy shad to get them a real TV deal.

The standard now is abysmal and if people even tried to do what passes for modern day matches now the crowds would fucking laugh at them and mock them for how shit they are.
Modern day wrestling most resembles the midget joke matches WWF would run in the mid 90's with Max Mini

OP's just needs to slow down and put a little more grit on everything. Bad in practice not theory.

It's not their fault American's learned all the wrong lessons.
Dragon Gate worked cause they focused on personalities, pageantry, and being cute boys, to draw the girls and the gays.
The in ring style worked cause they all trained with each other and did tours working with each other. It's a lot easier to to run through moves when you know each other's next steps instead of just coming up with shit you never did before the day off, and it's also been a month since your last match, shit be looking like this. Also the Dragon Gate guys, knew their style was lacking and for any important matches they were much slower paced with a traditional structure, as opposed to the big tag sprints.

I liked indie wrestling 15 years ago. But I think that makes me stricter on AEW than you e-tards. I've seen what they try to do done right, it actually pisses me off to see them do these 50/50 botch fests and get near universal praise from people who have only ever watched WWE and AEW.
The last straw for me was bringing back Jungle Jack and pushing him as a total badass who can get set on fire and still win the match. He's 90 pounds, and wrestles worse than a 2002 CZW opening match. I can't even pretend they're trying, this is just kids playing around.
