Dr. Michael Sugrue's lecture on Stoicism and Marcus Aurelius
>Why do you think gender and race baiting are so popular?
anger = engagement
and folks want a reason to be angry since they can't just be angry at nothing
and on the guys who make those kinda threads? they're just sick fucks or just in it for the kicks

always been into it, found out about it around 5 years ago - been struggling lately and one part of his lecture struck me, paraphrasing "Marcus was the top dog, everyone complained to him but he didn't have anyone else to complain to"
now i have to toughen myself up since a lot of folks depend on me

I don't have a single one. It changes depending on my mood.
At this moment it's either https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He5rbLPB8ng or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmW99i9carQ
>Why do you think gender and race baiting are so popular?
Because the baits have a lot of truth to them.

Being nice isn't the same as being a doormat. I simply use the boards way of expression.
>>81613045
Been listening to Violent Vira, Jann and Cloudyfield.

Stoicism seems too lonely and sad to me. You cannot become stronger all by yourself, the sea can erode even the mightiest pillar if it stands solitary.

>>81613053
Is that Finnish? Sounds good, I might add them both.

>>81613097
A bit too chill on the instrumental side for me.

oh shit, this is good
thanks OP
>too lonely
it is, but what are you gonna do?
i dont have any problems of my own so folks dump their problems on me, i'm not a doormat neither so it depends if i actually care enough about them to help them
>the sea can erode even the mightiest pillar if it stands solitary.
well said, but if the solitary pillar is the only thing holding back the waves from hitting the town behind it then so be it

Also had a short Spiritbox phase. Real good stuff. My gf likes Hozier and lots of Folk adjacent music (epic, metal, indie, etc) so I also listen to that!
