I have no skills, their immigration requirements are probably too rigid for me. Also I hear the Japanese hate foreigners and you would ever be truly accepted, and they're right to feel that way.

Maybe it's just a sour grapes manifestation, but the idea of white people living in Japan I find grotesque, the reason it is Japan is because it is inhabited by the Japanese and their culture, white people invading Japan is the same as Arabs, Jeets etc. invading the West. Japan is xenophobic and actively avoids selling real estate to gaijin. When I visited with a friend, the first restaurant we went to in downtown Tokyo, the old crone waiter there scowled at us upon entry, sighed because we were gaijin that didn't speak Japanese, and then yanked a menu out of my hand when I grabbed one from the empty table nearby (it was a two-person party and she only provided one menu for my other travel companion and none for me). She then delegated the job of waiting our table to some young, brown Japanese girl that barely spoke English. As a first introductory experience, it kind of soured my interpretation of Japanese society. They deserve their fate of low birth rates and dying island culture because who would want to immigrate to such a compartmentalized, hostile society?

Reality is reality, no matter where you go it's gonna suck.

I want to live anywhere that's walkable and has a sovlful society and architecture. Every FUCKING English teaching job in Japan has rejected me since I graduated in 2016. JET, Interac, Aeon, Gaba, even NOVA, etc. Even non-English teaching jobs in Japan or at least related to Japan have rejected me. As such, I've been stuck at a warehouse for the last 8 years. It's fucking bullshit OP, but at least I can still study for the JLPT.

I'm still learning kanji. Moving there without having a job lined up seems pretty difficult.
Most of the good paying jobs in my field require either JLPT N2 or N1.

I'm from Denmark and I receive gibs, so that discourages me, however I've been learning the language for years and it could be cool to visit comiket.
