Common ideas found in the lyrics include social and political issues such as racism, police violence, economic inequality, access to healthy food, gentrification, mental health, fatherhood, late-stage capitalism, homophobia, toxic masculinity, Britain's political hypocrisy, and the pharmaceutical industry. The theme of the struggles of being a black man in Europe are recurring in every album, and include the mental health struggles of black men, institutional racism that contributes to poverty in black communities, the threat of police, and the struggles of being a black parent in a world that threatens your children.

for me it was watching some pool streams, seeing the 'new' pool rules everyone is switching to.
it's all wonderfully honed and that, obviously a sport needs rules. but the choices are just baffling: you can't do trick shots or flukes, really, the spirit of the game IS hitting the target ball and NOT bouncing off the cushion, however intentional it is.
so watching games it's just people who've gotten really efficient at potting exactly the 'correct' balls, one after the next. as though the goal of the game is to be as close to an algorithm as possible, there's no creativity or weighing stuff up in their human brains.
i dunno just imagine football was like that. "foul, you HAD to pass to that guy, not that other guy. quit ruining the game for everyone and play properly."
>>81735688Sports are fundamentally pointless and are for low IQ retards
>>81735649i just mean at the end of the day you're learning something, teenagers could be learning ARM assembly with the same time/effort as some secretly-a-web-browser-in-a-window. so why not? it'd run faster, the COMPUTER is still doing all that, under the hood.
if it's 2complex4humans, that's on the designers. don't design it that way. let people just run programs on their computers (and then it's on the devs to write good programs, that's the skill!)
>>81735664I'm not denying any of that. I just preferred a slower paced Tennis to the steroid monster modern Tennis that started around the time of Pete Sampras.

some people get so caught up on technical details and doing things "right" that they end up doing nothing
you can just do things, it doesnt matter what language you use, it doesnt matter if you used a framework or a third party library, what matters is the end result, software development is more about business requirements than anything else desu
so what if a function written in C takes 0.3 seconds instead of 0.7 in Python if writing everything in C meant it would take 10x longer to ship. there are almost always workarounds if you absolutely need performance anyway, you could write a Python extension for that specific function for example

then HTML5 video freezes in a web browser because it's doing all this other shit, caught up on a WebWorker JavaScript thread or whatever shite it's doing now. if, under the hood, your browser is crazy optimised to render text or something, great. if, under the hood, it was built on top of the RenderJS framework, which was built on...and then... nah pal, that's just a bit shit. doesn't matter if YOU have a high-end gaming rig.
