pretty much how i feel about the movie as well. the designs are absolutely iconic and it visually defined a whole genre, but the plot itself has never managed to grab my attention.

yes, but only canned. (seems like i can only stomach canned fish for some reason). i usually mix then with mayonnaise, cayenne and finely chopped onions and parsley and eat it with some bread.

yup, but one issue with being so iconic is that you basically know everything about it before you ever actually watched it. like, for example, you basically know everything about the xenomorph from alien before you ever watched those movies because it's so ingrained in pop culture. same with blade runner.

i've always wondered why i feel that way. same with ghost in the shell. technically these movies combine everything i like, but for some reason they just don't click.

hey everyone sorry been away cats been eating up most of my spare time. they're super sweet tho and seem to be adjusting fairly well. they do run away a lot but lately they have tried approaching me

double whammy... :/ is any one those projects less annoying? if so, maybe you could start with that? i see why that would keep you from mapping, though. deadlines are never fun to deal with. hope you can find the motivation to deal with the projects soon, so you can map again.

they're alright, but not great on their own, i'd say. more something you crave because of the nutrients and not because they taste so good, but then they hit the spot.

not just movies. back in the day you couldn't walk into toy stores without running into action figures based on ips for adults like alien or robocop, so you knew about those movies before you even were allowed to see them. are action figures even still a thing for kids/teens anymore or is that something only nerds in my age group still care about?

you might be right, especially regarding blade runner. if a movie actually gets it's message across, it doesn't need that many cuts.

maybe give that a watch next. there's the movie and then there's some shows. maybe you like it. i think the movie hold up quite well visually. just make sure you watch the original and not the 2.0 remaster or whatever they call it.
