Should I fight if someone tries to mess with me or it's better to avoid conflict? I'm like 160cm and 50kg so I can easily get some broken ribs or even worse if I fight. Situations where I have no other choice but to fight don't count.

I thought about buying pepper spray for ugly situations, it's better than nothing.
