I think the issue is that most people repress for the wrong reason. They really wanna do it, but force themselves not to. Not fucking men is easy for me because its appeal doesn't outweigh how pointless it seems.

They don't need to blow off steam at some point, people aren't magical emotional pressure vessels. There are people who have relatively comfortably lived their entire lives "repressing" all sorts of things, it is called having self control and a general sense of morality.
