>>81950461 (OP)i'm tall, but i love martial arts.
I have bad news. Inherently, there is no martial art that gets an advantage from being short, however, doing any martial arts gives you a thorough advantage over anyone who doesn't, or even trains less. plenty of short guys who beat me every day. If you want to train to be able to win a fight, I'd say MMA with a severe emphasis on wrestling + heavy weight lifting + pepper spray + first hit. It's hard to win fights in self defense, especially legally, because the first hit largely defines how the rest of the fight will go, and if you strike first you're (in most states) going to prison. If you accidentally kill the guy (hitting the ground can easily result in a brain hemmorage if they land on their head) you could go to prison for the rest of your life. Watch for the signs that somebody's about to sucker punch, (pulling up pants, looking away, probs more)
This is all assuming it's a 1v1 street fight too, and that they don't have a knife or a gun.
Any ways yeah MMA with a severe emphasis on wrestling + heavy weight lifting + pepper spray + first hit.
>>81950508the knife nerfing mma ability will also result in life in prison, if you can't harshly prove it was self defense. unironically if you had a bodycam on you, on at all times, knife/gun becomes peak. Again, unless you're in a situation where killing the guy is unacceptable (such as a drunk cousin at a barbeque or a drunk friend at a party)
With this all being said, practicing martial arts is worth it regardless of whether or not you ever use it in a fight, for the health/fitness, the comraderie and bros you can make, and the confidence it gives you, knowing if some petty scuffle happens, you can avoid getting hurt, or hurting someone (once you're good enough you can easily take someone down if they're not massively bigger than you, if they're bigger it'll just be somewhat harder)
