Literally all your experience is internal including everything you "see". Meat software running simulations.

>running simulations.
I don't know if simulation is the best word. Because our surroundings are real. Our perception is more like an approximation of our surroundings than something entirely fake. It's interesting that every animal has their own version of reality that they view and none of them are wrong.

>Because our surroundings are real.
What within perception is real is determined by consensus, since schizophrenics will disagree with what constitutes our surroundings.

>What within perception is real is determined by consensus
What I'm saying is that *something* exists. That much is obvious. There has to be something for our brains to interpret. It's just everyone's interpretation will most likely vary. People having conflicting interpretations doesn't make our surroundings fake.

We have no way of knowing how much of our sensory experience is generated entirely internally without external stimulus of any kind because total sensory deprivation from birth is impossible and even if it were possible, results in a total inability to communicate any meaningful information about internal experiences.

There has to be positive evidence that our surroundings are real, and to do find that evidence we have to account for all wholly internal experiences. Any particular perceptual "point" of our surroundings could be collectively hallucinated.

I guess, anon. That just seems kind of pointless to talk about though and makes much less sense than everyone just interpreting data from an existing reality. Rather than us existing in nothing and completely making everything up.

So what? It still does a good job of corresponding to external reality. It's not arbitrary.

In any conflict between perception and reality, reality wins.

Why? You have chosen this standard arbitrarily.

Yes, and Opie is a fucking idiot. But he is right, in regards to..... dreaming! That's when our minds literally create simulations for itself!

But back to OP. Dude, you are dumb
