Memeing aside... It's about extremes, actually. The only other more feminine cut is anything shorter than a bob. Anything from like a shaggy pixie cut to totally shaved. Kind of a flex, instant mogg signaling that you're feminine enough to still look good with unorthodox styling. Of course, long hair--if it is shiny, bouncy and full--indicates adequate nutrition, good grooming/hygiene habits, and usually a certain favorable social/economic class, even if this isn't acknowledged consciously when people look at it.

true, the slight curl i have makes it annoying to deal with when its loose, with a tail i just cut off an inch or 2 when it gets too long and i have no split ends, helps not blowdrying it either, i dont shampoo that often, i have a once every 2 weeks routine of shampoo and conditioner that works well, the longer it is the longer it takes to dry though, morning shower and its still damp in the evening if its not hot out
