I've seen some horrors too (as well as wonders). And I do agree some people are doomed and will suffer(but still, debateable. Most things can be achieved with the power of will imo) and are in so deep, the amount of work needed to save them is just too great or unatainable due to circumstances.

It's just that with the right resources a lot of horrors can be prevented. I've seen doomed druggies change for the better at 40 after years of abuse and good people die by their own hands way too young because of this unjust world and it was preventable. In a lot of cases, hope, will and maybe a helping hand can make all the difference. This is not a new concept, charities and rehab centers exist.
Real doom is not as common as treatable doom and a lot of people miss that point and that's what I was trying to say.
