Don't ask your mom for $1000. Ask her to hold on to your birth certificate and important documents for when you're homeless. Citywide cleanup operations separate people from wheelchairs, photos of loved ones, IDs, and all sorts of unrecoverable things.

Eviction is expensive and most boomers are too stupid to read or fill out a form. You could be tied up in court for over a year, effectively rent free. They have no way of forcing you to pay, just once dumbfuck finally gets it right and manage to spell their own name correctly on the tenth try the sheriff will knock and ask you to vacate the property.
