I have a JP Jag (w Lollar pups, probably my favourote instrument I own. I love this damn thing so much ^^) and a Mexican Standard Tele (my first electric guitar. I love Teles too, anon <3) And a Squier 40th Anni P-bass. I'm not a very good bass player, but I play from time to time. A sloppy (hehe~) version of Hey Bulldog's bassline is just about the hardest thing on the bass I can play lol.

Have you tried Terra Invicta? It's a (non-RTS) strategy game about aliums invading da urf (you can choose whether to help them or not).

It's got some flaws but I think it's worth checking out just for the cool model of the solar system alone. It's not perfectly 1:1 or anything crazy, but I had fun plotting ambushes on the aliums, and determining what moon or obscure asteroid is most efficient to set up water extraction/refueling site, and what have you.

Nice, my pic wasn't of my game, I actually haven't played in a few months, so I just nabbed that from google. I remember getting the under control US being a slog, too... basically just dozens and dozens of turns, grinding out the missions for public opinion.

Have you also played any of the XCom games, or spinoffs like Xenonauts? They're only similar in the alium invasion theme, really, not so much the solar system stuff, but it's probably my favorite game series. I grew up watching a bunch of Stargate SG1, and they're as close as I'll ever get to a good Stargate game.

So you're about halfway through one campaign? jk... wait I have 272 hours and only 2 campaigns beaten, so... okay maybe that is accurate (I'll sit and micro stuff on pause for hours tho).

If you like both TI and Xenonauts, and haven't yet, I would check out all the XCom-like games. It's a fun subgenre and there's quite a few neat takes on the premise. My personal favorite, even though it's graphically quite dated, is just good 'ole openxcom + mods (there's a bunch).
