>akame ga kill.
hm. hovered over the thumbnail a few times, but never watched the show for some reason. maybe i should.

>send em my way!
yuanon will remember that.

>hope it'll get better soon.
i'm sure it will be. maybe.

>i'm scared to turn mine on desu incase it exploded. my laptop cpu hit like 75c so i'm scared.
at this point i'm hoping that mine does. i'm so tired and disappointed of tech it's unreal.

>the heat is killing me
resting easy is going to be harder than usual this week. (-_-:)

>i try my best to avoid that
hope you manage. it's a terrible fate.

>I ate mainly just fries, rice and burgers ehehe
it's a festival. i don't suppose anyone is there to watch their diet. ^^

>probably, but it's heavy as fuck. suppose it's cus they're real bullets but still
maybe get a weight vest, so you can train for wearing that belt. :>

>not as profitable as selling shovelware slop to kids.
kids are of course a big market for it, but i feel like there's also a lot of people my age buying it out of nostalgia regardless of quality.

>which usually i absolutely hate but somehow it's kinda endearing.
everyone has a guilty pleasure. i really enjoy sappy romance manga, but only if there's zero drama involved. i just want something in my life that's not complete shit.

>ig it came out before all those tropes n such were overdone, and the love story is still pretty sweet.
if it's executed well, it's executed well. doesn't matter how many other people already used these tropes. the mark of a great storyteller is when they can tell you a story you already know and still make you feel like you didn't.

>been abandoning a lot of social media lately (haven't checked discord in AGES for example)
good job. it's a cesspool anyway. it's the quality of connections that counts, not the quantity.

>a lot more people are dressing alternative, which makes my metalhead ass happy
heh. true. today a middle aged woman wearing a hatsune miku shirt came to my store. no fucks given.

I don't know what to say. Thank you for being here. Suffering comes to haunt some of us every day, but at least for me, this thread is a little beacon of comfort which takes me away from all this darkness which dictates my life.

Never stop, you are keeping the lowest of the low together, which is more important than you can imagine. Even if some leave, there are others, who gain the last bit of love they need to keep pushing from the exchanges happening in your thread.

Do you wanna talk about what's haunting u? or maybe about something you enjoy?
But yeah, life sucks and it's great we can at least find someone to talk to online, you guys can live on a completely different continent but we can communicate so effortlessly and quickly though the internet
Just a slightly unrelated though but what I had on my mind recently is that it pisses me off greatly how that communication is getting restricted with bullshit like the age verification uk and us with youtibe have now, it makes me furious

the new or old one? have to admit i don't remember the scene. it's been quite a while i watched either.

>I got some clothes I ordered some shirts but I don't like any if them
dang. :/

>They're all have odd proportions or are from materials I don't like
understandable. for me it's always when i get something colorful. it just doesn't sit right with me and i know, but i still try from time to time. same result every time. can't stand synthetic fibers, either. can be hard to find clothes that fit my criteria, even when i look for ecological minded brands. they stilll do the recycling scam a lot. will you order something else?

>How are you?
i'm ok. it's hot as hell, though. i'll watch the latest dandadan episode now. see you in a bit.

Been reading around lots and lots but nothing been anyhow helpful in theory or practice or insight. Can't really recommend anything interesting on BPD, CPTSD, etc unless you want to go as far as the generalisms of Otto Rank's later works and Eric Berne.
Been finding lots of schizoid and malignant attachment forums to have really relatable blogposts and discussions, but nothing I could really use, either, beyond what I had already tested. Really not liking the raw experience I'm getting. Hopefully you're doing better

>i don't suppose anyone is there to watch their diet.
probably not, but most people including me spend the next days just resting anyways.

I can wear it just fine, its just that i'm glad to take it off at the end of the day.
>but only if there's zero drama involved. i just want something in my life that's not complete shit.
yeah, usually the fanbase wars scare me away from pretty much anything, only thing that really has made me stay has been 40k and xcom. for anime i can enjoy everything just fine if I make the decision to never interact with the fanbase.
>when they can tell you a story you already know and still make you feel like you didn't.
which is something that has been lacking a lot lately. maybe i'm just biased but i decided to watch movies and shows that are universally praised, yet still didn't like them.

i've never been a fan of stuff that was too pizzacutter all edge, no point. gantz and elfenlied were pretty big back then, but i've never had a taste for that stuff. personal preference, though.

>mainly the ps4 and onwards generations of consoles
exactly. they all exude anti-consumer practices.

>ps2 and ps3 run perfectly no matter how much punishment they endure.
my brother has our ps2 and sadly my ps3 bit the dust quite some time ago, which is a real shame since it was the fat one. :/ it's the ylod and maybe i could still fix it, but i'm not feeling like it atm. though it could be nice to play lost planet again. that game was fun.

>but most people including me spend the next days just resting anyways.
nobody said that having fun wasn't drainig. ;D

>its just that i'm glad to take it off at the end of the day.
good training then.

>only thing that really has made me stay has been 40k and xcom
those are cool ips with stuff for everyone. if you 40k and xcom, maybe check out the original chaos gate. still my favorite 40k game.

https://www.gog.com/en/game/warhammer_40000_chaos_gate

>for anime i can enjoy everything just fine if I make the decision to never interact with the fanbase.
very smart decision. i tried for a while and while i got some cool recommendations, the toxic fallout from people just isn't worth it. enjoy the fanart that comes out of the fandom, but never interact. it's the only way i can enjoy stuff. for myself in peace and quiet.

Just like another anon said, this is a really special place. 4chan is one of the most toxic places on the Internet, but you can find threads like this, were people are honest and you can have conversations which may be more helpful than the ones you have in real life.

>Do you wanna talk about what's haunting u?

Man, it's just too much. I relapsed a few weeks ago. I'm so ashamed about it and now I'm disconnecting more and more from the world around me. I'm getting out of touch with things that I've held dear through the worst times of my life and I'm afraid that I'm losing control.

Anyway, I don't want to talk about my dumb emotions.

How's it going? Tell me something about your life. It doesn't have to be interesting.

that's like going in a fast food restaurant and expecting actually good food. popularity is no guarantee for quality. if you're lucky, you'll find a reviewer that shares your taste so you can go from there. biggest win for me was realizing that arcane season 1 and only season 1 >:[ was actually a good show, despite me disliking riot, lol, the overall art direction and the character designs, but something about the trailer just made me begrudgingly admit that there's some quality to it. nothing feels better than finding some actually good entertainment.

>>82185216
>gantz and elfenlied were pretty big back then
i watched elfen lied, but honestly it would be as you described it, all edge and no real point. I thought the premise was pretty interesting but it was executed really poorly in favor of making things as edgy as they could.
>they all exude anti-consumer practices.
honestly what i expect from anything out of japan. that country seems like dystopian levels of hypercapitalism.
>my ps3 bit the dust quite some time ago
aww that's a shame, mine runs very well. but my controller behaves really weird when i play literally any game.
>maybe check out the original chaos gate
I'm considering it, I looked at the daemonhunters one (the newest one) but it seemed way too gimmicky for me. speaking of xcom-like games. I recently decided to play Girls' Frontline 2, since I lost my account on the first game when musk bought twitter. It's fairly fun but plays nothing like xcom at all. It's still fun for a gacha game (i've played quite a few), but still I'm praying xcom 3 might get announced sometime.
>the toxic fallout from people just isn't worth it.
yep. I prefer to just discuss it with people who i know irl if they like the same things. it's a lot harder to be an asshole about things when the person talking to you actually KNOWS you.

yeah, ig something that opened up my eyes is that I'm not forced to like anything no matter how highly it is praised. I can wholly admit that I do not enjoy most things considered like "high culture", stuff like fine art or classical music, hell even like haute-cuisine. I think it's important for everyone to form their own opinions about things, that's why I kinda dislike critics, since at the end of the day it's just their opinion.

Both looking and making things up until something works

I think in some ways it's good you don't think it's a good thing so that you don't wanna ro it more but also don't beat yourself over it mch okay
Especially when relapses often happen not because you did something wrong but because something outside of your control made you want to relapse

okay, I'll copy what I said to other anon, it's just been thinking about it
I have some uni projects I should work on but I'm struggling to motivate myself, I had a short time when I felt too anxious to start but now I just don't feel any pressure to start instead
I'm ready not sure if I even want to continue uni not sure if it's even a choice I can make at this point
Though that's a bit depressing so if you're not okay with that we can talk about something more nice

>it was executed really poorly in favor of making things as edgy as they could.
there's a lot of old ovas that are basically just that. i do recognize that those just dumb fun for the most part and can appreciate the over the top animation, but there's also the ones that just feel mean spirited and misanthropic. luckily those usually reveal their true colors quite early and i can just drop it.

>that country seems like dystopian levels of hypercapitalism.
not quite as bad as korea, but not far off. it's where we're all headed, though.

what's the issue? i got scammed on ebay once and bought fake controllers. the stick was just another dpad, so my character only moved in eight directions...

>it seemed way too gimmicky for me.
i was looking forward to it, but the weird cartoony graphics and the violett and turquoise colors they associate with grey knights now really turned me off. if i might be and old grumbler for a bit, i really miss warhammers black and white illustration era. :/ btw, do you have a favorite 40k artist?

>but there's also the ones that just feel mean spirited and misanthropic.
yeah those were the ones i really didn't like usually since they had like topics that genuinely disgusted me. not an anime but one of the best takes i've seen on like edgy media was fear and hunger, they seemed to nail it without it becoming like a weird fetish fantasy.
>it's where we're all headed, though.
unfortunately, I keep trying to tell myself something big will happen before that tho, it keeps my spirits up atleast.
>what's the issue?
shit just won't react to any input of actual games, I was playing gran turismo 5 and everything went well in the menus and stuff but when i tried driving nothing would happen.
>do you have a favorite 40k artist?
not really any official ones, they seem to have dropped the ball a bit. I do like a lot of the fanart i see tho
>should i bother looking it up?
eh see for yourself. personally i like it since it's a sequel of a game i really enjoyed and played for a long time, but in the end it's just a waifu gacha game. I just like a lot of the characters and the story/setting
>have you checked out any indie xcom-likes?
I checked out xenonauts, which is more like the older games, but I haven't really had the time to really sit down and play it. I might do that tho. You have any other recs?
>have you checked out any indie xcom-likes?
honestly depends on your friend group haha. I know one of my friends was like a borderline fujoshi for a while, so i could probably discuss something like that with her. ig you just gotta get lucky with the people you know. I know I could bring up literally anything with my friends, as long as it's like not totally degenerate.

that's fair. at least if they pretend their opinion is more than just that. if you find one you can trust, it's nice to have someone who does the work of combing through all that shit for you and filters out what you might like. doesn't always work out, but i sure as hell don't want to monitor every piece of media that comes out myself.

yeah. lot of the old guard had trouble with the shift to digital. best recent artist imo is igor sid. he got the old style down.

https://www.artstation.com/sidwill

older artist you can check out are paul dainton, alex boyd, karl kopinski (that guy's insane. he can really ground even the most outlandish of concepts), adrian smith, dave gallagher, mark gibbons and, of course, john blanche. everyone knows john blanche, but i just don't want to leave him out of that list. ^^

Tbh, I'm kind of scared to put in my two weeks just because I'll be telling them the truth of what I've tolerated over the past few weeks. My boss is on her last notice of misconduct, so she might get fired. Which takes away a reason for me to quit while leaving to hours I'm pulling. Or I still leave and the place is worse off because two workers left at once. Or my boss doesn't get fired but does hear about a report, so she spends two weeks making my life suck.
Idk, it just makes me worried.

yeah its very amazing and beautiful! we're at a resort home very close to the beach and its like surrounded by mountains and you can see other cities in the distance
picrel, albeit blurry is a photo i took a little bit outside of our home yesterday and it was great

yep! although my room hardly has any wifi so i have to bug my family for the hotspot so yk

>nightsky is one of the things i wish i could take a pic of like i see it.
usually your phone will have a night mode where it opens up the exposure to like 3 seconds, if you zoom in on your object and then take a photo you can get some really wild effects
although you will have to hold your phone still for it to be a good photo so i hope it wont be too hard lol

there's only a handful of new shows worth talking about anyway. most anime i watch i'll just forget about anyway. wanna chime in on those two shows?

>that it was a bit bizarre compared to what I was used to at first, but still enjoyable
trigger really have their own style. it's a bit more cartoony than most anime, but i enjoy it. still grateful they did promare.

>learned to appreciate stories that have a beginning, end, and coherent middle, as I've gotten older lol
could not agree more with you. pacing is so important to me these days. doesn't matter what it is. books, series, games. just don't waste my time. that said, i seem to be one of the few people on this planet who doesn't mind "filler episodes". those are always a great opportunity for character development.

>need something new to watch now.
hm. does it have to be new or just something you haven't seen? speaking of trigger, i could recommend dungeon meshi. that show is relatively new. if you're up for some old slice of life comedy, i'd say look up moyashimon. if you haven't seen it, of course.

>I wonder how hot it'll get when I get old
will it ever stop
probably not, but hopefully it'll take a lot more time to get really bad.

>understandable

>yep :3
happy caturday!

>well see if we go on that trip though I hope so
can't tell me about it and then don't go! that would be very inconsiderate. i wanna hear about your adventures! :<

>have a nice time turning your brain off
turned it off the minute i got home.

heyo! about to fall asleep any minute now. what are you up to? any plans for the weekend?

>I don't think I ever played the games desu.
be careful. they're hard to get into, but when you do it's hard to go back to anything else. ^^
