A lot of men will be detured by the child. My mom got a bf when two out of three of her kids were living at home, but we were pretty old (18 and 21) so it was easier for the bf to relate to us and bond with us over some beers. It'll be less of a dealbreaker when the child grows up and needs less maintenance (and eventually leave home), so the guy won't feel like he has to be a father figure/babysitter and it just being a burden added to the relationship.

It depends on if you're still fertile and want to have kids. The youngest you could be right now is like 27, so it's still possible. I want to have kids of my own. And I wouldn't mind paying money for some other guy's kid, so long as I got to spend time with the kid. My uncle did that, and it seems to have worked out pretty well for him. He had a kid with the single mother, and his kid got a brother out of the deal.

Unfortunately, she also divorced my uncle, but he still gets to spend a lot of time with his kid. Very over. I'm having hard time imagining scenario in which I'd consider single mom to be fine option. There probably is such situation and settings, but it's extremely hard to think of one on the fly.
