Why is ovulation referred to as "going into heat" for every other creature except the human woman when the behavioral and physiological markers are fundamentally the same?

It's kind of weird I guess it reduces women to animals. Also stop posting these types of images today

i literally have a breeding kink and get very horny when i ovulate however why the fuck would we call it going into heat when our reproductive behavior is different than those animals just look up how it works in cats its not what happens to us
Anonymous No.82279378 [Report] >>82279474
because humans have brains to control themselves and it happens on a monthly cycle rather than a year one. That said women do get extra horny around their ovulation time.
Anonymous No.82279393 [Report] >>82279474
We're not like the other animals teehee. Same reason non-autistic weirdos don't say "breed".

Humans like to separate themselves from other animals because they think they're special.

Hmm....

>>82279374

Well, you get really horny, yes, you are at your most fertile, and are receptive to sex from a wider range of males than normal. Sounds like estrus in every other animal minus their specific peculiarities of mating whether that be seasonal mating or something else.

>>82279378

>humans have brains to control themselves

Brains that are based on what? Predictable biology, specifically, genetics, just like any other animal. I think self-control is a concept too freely thrown around in reference to human beings. From a philosophical perspective, it is highly suspect any such concept truly exists.

you are all wrong and deeply retarded. human women have a MENSTRUAL cycle. ovulation is the MOST fertile period, but we can be bred at any time save for maybe two or three days as the cycle resets. there's no outward indication of this period of time that can be percieved. this is not heat.

many female mammals other than humans have an ESTRUS cycle, otherwise known as 'heat'. this is the ONLY time these animals can become impregnated and they have physical tells that telegraph it outwardly to males. otherwise there's barely any chance of reproduction whatsoever. it's a different term for a different thing. learn to do literally any amount of research and for the love of god learn human biology. you will consistently come off as retarded without basic knowledge like this.
Anonymous No.82279600 [Report]
Actually it is exactly because there are no markers. Heat is obvious. Humans have hidden ovulation. Some women can sorta tell but it's rather unreliable; while people outside of her will never be able to recognize it at all.

don't you produce a certain kind of vaginal mucus when you ovulate fembot?
Anonymous No.82279647 [Report] >>82281562
>>82279560
No we cannot dumbass. It's not physiologically possible because egg can only be fertilized while it's present. Simple ass logic. When it leaves your system midway cycle it's owari da until new egg starts to form which is around the begging of menstruation. Still follicle has to mature as well and be released for breeding to occur. Basically women have like 1 week a month when they can be impregnated. It's called ovulation. And sperm can survive for up to 5 days or something so technically it can be blasted during menstruation and survive to meet the follicle afterwards but it's not the same as woman being fertile at all times.

>there's no outward indication of this period of time that can be percieved.

Hidden estrus is unique to the Homo genus but hidden estrus is still estrus regardless of any outward indication like the red, inflamed asses of chimpanzee females. There is some form of an indication to the woman though because she gets extremely horny and this also happens to be the time, at ovulation, when women are most likely to cheat. This neatly intersects with strategic pluralism theory (alpha-fucks, beta-bucks) since the capacity to cheat via hidden estrus goes hand-in-hand with a dual-mating strategy.

>many female mammals other than humans have an ESTRUS cycle, otherwise known as 'heat'. this is the ONLY time these animals can become impregnated and they have physical tells that telegraph it outwardly to males. otherwise there's barely any chance of reproduction whatsoever. it's a different term for a different thing.

I think you are going for some specific technicality here. Human ovulation fits the general definition of estrus even if it's not as stipulated with certain conditions as other periods of ovulation are across the animal kingdom.

They produce mucus all the time not just during ovulation

humans don't have a "heat" cycle because they're constantly "in heat", so you're right in that strict sense
that wasn't what OP asked though, so you're no less retarded than the rest of the retards here (including myself)

>>82279349 (OP)
it usually has an effect on females that can be likened to "going in heat"
when animals go into heat, they tend to be horny 24/7 throughout that time (e.g. lions will want to mate all the damn time, and if the male can't keep up, the female bites his balls)
when women ovulate they tend to get horny as fuck throughout it, so it's likened to that period of time in animals
Anonymous No.82279708 [Report]
>>82279678
yes but I read it takes on a different consistency depending on what part of their cycle they are on. I was wondering if this was true.

Yeah and especially upon arousal think of it like your mouth salivating for food except for cock or vagina(if the lady is into that) instead

OP here. I've studied biology at the collegiate level. Science is not honest about a lot of women-related topics so it's important we put the pozzed textbooks aside and discuss these things ourselves.

Because animal's estrous cycle and a woman's ovulation cycle are fundamentally different whether it be fertility window, frequency of fertility window, physical changes, type/number of phases, etc.
They are fundamentally different, so they are categorized as such.

how well does the "rhythm method" of birth control actually work in practice though? I know the pullout method, competently executed, is as good as condoms.
