All they ever want to talk about is family (I hate mine and have cut myself off from them, which always kills that conversation) if I have always lived in this town (No, my entire childhood was spent moving so much it traumatized me into just refusing to move anymore, which also always kills the conversation) and what I do for a living (I'm autistic and unemployed, before that I wrote erotica, guess what these do to the fucking conversation?).

I do and guess what, that kills the conversation because these single braincelled individuals can't answer anything that doesn't include the word 'favourite'. They can't tell you why they feel anything about anything. They can't tell you what they like about things. They literally have never actually thought about why they feel things in their entire lives. It's like trying to talk to a child that doesn't understand that not everything their parents tell them is true.
It's impossible to hold a conversation with them that isn't just constant questions from me and one-word replies from them because they can never answer follow-up questions so why the fuck would I waste time asking them?
