the majority of smart people throughout history were religious, but it is true dumb people often go to church too. religion is literally a bell curve, only the smartest and dumbest people believe in God. looks like you are a midwit. I say this as another non-religious person, though I wouldnt call myself an atheist, I am just too lazy and socially awkward to go to church and I dont think there is that big of a difference between going to and not going to, from the perspective of any divine rule. as long as you live a virtous life, you are good on my book. if you take a closer look, all organized religion originally boiled down to creating order among the unwashed masses, but as history progressed the control over these orgainizations were overtaken by grifters and nationalists. unfortunate, but not surprising at all
