Why do normgroids call some terrorists "cowards" when they clearly aren't?

This guy was obviously not a coward.

It takes a lot of courage to engage armed opponents with military training despite never being in the infantry.

These soldiers wouldn't know how to fight in a world without air support, UAVs, fast response units, and other modern systems that support the boots-on-the-ground infantryman. If you ask me, the men fighting at the front in Ukraine are truly experiencing raw war and without all the fancy support a U.S. troop would get in Iraq or Afghanistan. Overall, if you're seeing combat at all, you're tougher than the majority of men. Only when we compare these men to each other can lines be drawn between hard and hardcore.

not wrong, even the narcos fighting against the federales have modern day militech (AR's with holo's, etc, etc ), in the ukranian war they really just have AK's and high tech TOW missiles.

A lack of logistics and support don't make an army magically better at fighting lol, it mere produces a high body count to gain objectives, especially considering most deaths in Ukraine are from artillery bombardments making your point mute. But regardless you inadvertently brought up a good point: the US military excels at logistics. In any war were logistics are the deciding factor the US will win, because it will systematically dismantle the opposing nations ability to conduct the war (like the Kosovo War), but in any war were logistics don't matter, then the US is fucked.

>and high tech TOW missiles.
Maybe a few "elite" units lol. I mean Ukraine has entire units equipped with mosin-nagants. It's more that the Russia's military isn't doing good rather then Ukraine is so great. I will admit Ukraine is a good 3rd world military (about equal to Vietnam in 1975), but lets not kid ourselves about how good they are.

>Only under very specific unrealistic circumstance that I have decided on can we draw the line between hard and hardcore.
MFer the US invaded Iraq with 130,000 against 1,300,000 Iraq soldiers. Out numbered 10 to 1 they went on the offensive. Ukraine WITH MORE EQUIPMENT AND MEN then the US had in 2003 can't win against 2 to1 odds in their favor.
Check and mate.

were a country founded by terrorists, by definition

nobody likes getting terrorized and nobody thinks they deserve it, which is why the designation is there

weve yet to have a war since WW2 basically that was anything other than rich white countries steamrolling poor ones, Ukraine is the closest weve got, and nobody is really calling them terrorists

Never said that. An army like the U.S. Army that is used to conventional, technologically propped up warfare is going to struggle when that is no longer available, that was my point.

>white men with guns killed a bunch of red men in loincloths with bows and stone knives

I won't clap for that for the same reason I won't clap for Iraq.

Ukraine can't beat Russia despite outnumbering them in almost every category. Really makes you think.

Because the term 'hero' has been watered down for some time now by Hollywood movies and such

It's just normie nonsense
"Something bad so therefore cowardly"
Same with suicide, on a neurological perspective it is literally bravest thing a human can do, you fight all of your biological survival urges, yet they call it "the cowards way out".
See Hitlers end. Other military leaders, who know bravery and know bravery and cowardice, called it a brave method, Stalin was pissed when he learned that Hitler took the heroic way out and didn't take poison like a "coward".
The mainstream notion? "DURR HE WAS A COWARD CAUSE HE SHOOT HIMSELF" despite it considered a brave suicide method in the military.

Well considering the US lost less men in 20 years than either Russia or Ukraine has lost in 20 months I think the all the fancy support a US troop would get is what makes or breaks a soldier.

Normalfags throw around words without even knowing what they mean, they just insert random insult.
Not saying what I agree with doing such things, but people knee jerk react by throwing the insults they're programmed to say because they can't accurately assess actual character intelligently.
It's why women talk about men having small dicks without having any idea their dick size but it's a go to insult for some reason.

To be fair, OP did say armed opponents in this instance
