>it's more like a manager game, right? you don't actually play the races, do you?
pretty much, yeah. You pick the strategy going into the race and have to create a viable build for your horse girl, but once it's in the race sort of out of your control.
>who's your favorite? :>
Haven't played long, but i like the tsundere, try hard starter(pic related). I do like the one based on the horse that never won and apparently the game caused people to give the real horse a bunch of sudden attention years later which was kind of a cute story. There's also apparently a mentally ill yandere horse that only in the JP version that I'm planning on waiting for

hey catbro! what's up?

>>82318857
>busy day but holding out okay
hang in there! (*^*)

>probably a good thing lol.
yeah, i realized with the introduction of dlc that i have a tendency to shell out money for "the complete experience" and had to work on my spending habits to get over it. it helped that most dlc is overpriced garbage.

>I recall a time I spent an entire day in a hotel room in Vietnam during a trip grinding materials and that's when I realized those games can be harmful
yeah. especially when you just could have hired some vietnamese guy to grind for you. jokes aside, it's good you realized it was an issue. not everybody does. at this point my rule of thumb is: when a game you play starts feeling like work, drop it. i ain't gonna stress myself out and pay for the privilege to do so. thank you very much. :<

>I literally waited and waited and did all my free pulls at the same time on a quite instances.
no clue what you're talking about, but i get the gist of it. in arena i always saved my ingame currency to play certain gamemodes that yielded the most booster packs for winning instead of just buying the packs itself. if you're good enough you could keep playing that gamemode and get entire sets without ever paying a cent.

>at least there's something physical to hold!
true. at least it's attached to 0,02 dollars worth of cardboard. ^^

>if switch 2 does anything other than release existing games and cross platform games from 2 generations ago I'll get one
the switch at least has the selling point of being a console you can get to play games with family and friends on holidays or parties. just get one for christmas and your good. i wouldn't do that with any other console. but yeah, not even the switch 2 exclusive fromsoft game looked very appealing to me. gonna sit that one out for now.

>they won't hurry up and put Bloodborne on the PC already
they won't even put a non-shit-framerate version on ps5. at this point i suspect there's some bad blood between sony and fromsoft over the ip and working together in general. not sure why they didn't source it out to the guys who made the demon's souls remake, which i hated, but you'd think sony would see it as a quick cashgrab.

>once it's in the race sort of out of your control.
do you race against other players?

>tsundere, try hard starter(pic related)
well, you are a man of culture, so that's of course the only real choice. what's with the pointy lip thingy, though? i've seen that on a few characters, but i'm not sure what it's supposed to be.

>kind of a cute story.
true. ^^ always nice when forgotten stories like that get a new audience.

>There's also apparently a mentally ill yandere horse that only in the JP version
gotta test the waters with the japanese audience first before you release her to the rest of the world. how long does it take for content to get ported to other regions?

>i grew up near some big tracks here and went every year.
we got the chio in aachen, which is quite the big horse sports tourney/festival/convention, but i'm just not a horse-person. i usually stay out of the city when it's taking place. i'm not sure if actual horse racing is even still a thing here. anyways, i'm sure it can be fun going there, betting a few bucks and spending the day in the crowd. at least it's easy to follow and there's a clear goal.

>"marketing does not work on me"
it's just not working on us because we don't care about 90% of the stuff that's being advertised right now. if there's stuff i like, i sure as hell wanna know about it. :< like i'm all hyped for turtle wow at the moment and that's not even something i have to pay for, but all the people talking about it on youtube really got to me.

its a small paycheck from part time low wage (minimum is low here, by white standards) sir
but what disappointed me is the price and availability of the local alt hair stylist. I think its twice what I thought (so 3x the normie haircut price). and she's very busy. today im pretty tired, played basically no games, just passing time, mood's not the best

hey yuanon, how's it going?
those are some trips
> shell out money for "the complete experience"
this is always the hard part when I otherwise like a game. If it's items or cosmetics, I'll almost always pass, but go for content usually. But there's been a lot of shitty DLC missions over the years, so even that's not always safe
>hired some vietnamese guy to grind for you.
might have been much better at than me too or ended up with my phone stolen lol
>when a game you play starts feeling like work, drop it.
agreed, not so much that it was work, but more so probably not optimal use of time when on an expensive to reach vacation...
>no clue what you're talking about
limited availability associated with time. They love to do that shit to make you feel like it's now or never so you spend. So like you said, save currency and try during the time period. Always worked out for me, but I was never greedy

would make sense since I don't see a whole lot of other reasons why not. I've given up on trying to understand why any company does or doesn't do things that seem to make sense anymore, especially with gaming
>do you race against other players?
there's a pvp but I would be destroyed since this game is unironically really hard and I'm still grasping the intro stuff

global version came out like last month, so we will see. Other gatcha I feel like stuff usually comes out a year later or so. This game was out in Japan quite some time already
>but i'm just not a horse-person
it's a very unusual thing to be into unless you had exposure to them. I think they're pretty cool as animals and underrated. Only been on one once in my life though
>, betting a few bucks and spending the day in the crowd.
just have to keep it to a few bucks. Always can spot the people who have a problem when there...
>because we don't care about 90% of the stuff that's being advertised right now.
fair point and agree with the rest. So much shit that is garbage gets hyped up with marketing, but I haven't spent a cent on this and has gotten me a lot of enjoyment so far so I'm okay admitting I went along with an ad

nd later I went to a store store and got snacks and cake
> you should post yua with all the diy-stuff you do.

>did you finish it?
yep made one out of a spoke, just bent it a couple of times, for now I attached it with a strap and it's okay but maybe I'll attach it will tin, I'll just have to melt it and pour it nicely which might be bit tricky so we'll see if I decide to do it

>>82320337
>soon which I don't like a great deal :<
I understand
I'm not a fan because none of the clothes in stores fit me so it's very demoralizing, now what I do instead is order whatever I like online because they usually have smaller sizes and return it if I don't like it
maybe you could try that?

it was annoyingly hot today, so i'm quite tired, but i have to head to bed soon anyway. got a doctor's appointment tomorrow.

>If it's items or cosmetics, I'll almost always pass
understandable, but for most people (me included), cosmetics are an essential part of the game. that's why the industry has been peddling the fabrication about "it's only cosmetic! it's optional! it's player choice!" for years now. it's an integral part of the experience and i'm tired of pretending it's not. >:[

>there's been a lot of shitty DLC missions over the years, so even that's not always safe
yeah. nothing says we respect players as cutting out content out of the finished game to paywall it behind "special edition" versions and keeping you from playing the game at release date when you don't pay up. whenever a game does stuff like that i know that i don't even need to bother.

>or ended up with my phone stolen
gotta have to find the trustworthy farming sweatshops.

>more so probably not optimal use of time when on an expensive to reach vacation...
well, i enjoy just spending time doing whatever i want on vacation, so if i just feel like driving 1200km to lie at the pool and read a book the whole time, that's my choice! i'm just against making a vacation another thing you "have to do" with places you "have to go" and "have to see". for me, the goal is recharging from all the shit i have to do at home and at work.

>They love to do that shit to make you feel like it's now or never so you spend.
ah, i see. good old fomo. works everytime.

>Always worked out for me, but I was never greedy
lucky you. i once watched a world of tank placement and the guy was "lucky" enough to get the tank he wanted on the last pull. for some reason i had the feeling that the devs pulled some strings. there.

for me it's more about the riders than the horses anyway. here it attracts a certain kind of snobbish people that i have a hard time dealing with.
