Honestly I don't view Elliot Rodger's murders as any more heinous or reprehensible than your typical 15,000 run of the mill murders that happen every year. A black gangster robbing and shooting a convenience clerk for fun. A chad getting drunk and beating his wife to death because he thinks she's cheating on him. Etc. I don't understand why I'm supposed to hate Elliot Rodger so much and treat him like a boogeyman. Is it because he was a virgin and we're supposed to hate male virgins because it's cool? Is it because his murders were specifically directed towards "normies" and I'm supposed to identify as a normie and be offended? This us vs them bullshit. Didn't the guy suffered enough in his life? Elliot Rodger killed 6 people. Every year in the US there's 15,000 murders. Why does no one ever talk about all those other murders? Yet they never shut up about this one shooting that killed only 6 people.
