Why are dreams about my childhood always some sort of nightmare?

perhaps because your childhood was a nightmare too?

Nut not everything was that way. Still, the moments i have nice memories off are never reflected way in dreamland.

hm, well i guess it's nice that it wasn't. perhaps the few times that it was bad was enough to give you trauma. or your brain is just a cynic

Trauma I'm guessing. Repressed memories

it wasn't a few times but more of a more often than not case. But anyways, shouldn't that make the nice things stand out even more instead of doing opposite?
>or your brain is just a cynic
definitely feels that way when its inserting unpleasantness into otherwise fine dreams.

I don't think that repressed memories have anything to do with it. There is nothing i remember asleep that i cannot recall when im awake.

its probably like you guys are saying but this is a way i did not expect it to manifest.

>nice things stand out even more
we are creatures of habit anon, we don't really make the exceptions stand out, we make what's routine stand out. as you've probably noticed already if you have a look at your present too, do you happen to think more about the bad things that happened, or the good things that happened? (i assume) the bad things, because those are the ones that happened more. for normalfags it's the good things because (usually) that's what happens more to them, and is the reason why they seem happier.
>definitely feels that way
gotta keep it in check by forcing yourself to think nice things sometimes!

I'll keep that in mind. Finishing all those unfinished side projects might be a good distraction.
Thanks.
