You ever read your old posts on desuarchive, from like 5 years ago, and realize how much youve changed

can't even recognize myself from a year ago, must be the xanax
Anonymous No.82966227 [Report]
Not really, no. Sometimes I'd look through a thread and realize halfway through that I'm the OP and x or y message is mine, but I don't think I've ever stumbled on something that made me go like
>*badunggg* damn I was cringe!
I'm sure there are plenty of threads like that but I never stumble on them
Anonymous No.82966242 [Report]
I have not really changed unfortunately

I read them from 10 years ago and the only change I notice is how much more articulate I seemed to be.

Otherwise the change comes from the responses. Threads used to get more replies. If I made the same threads now they'll get 0-1 posts at best.

This, it hurts to see how much my vocabulary has atrophied

Change is the wrong word for that. It's more like, how the flavor of the day shifts. It comes and goes. I hope that makes sense. But yes I do enjoy using the archive to look at the rare quality posts that exist on here. And some funny moments.

You can blame that on the decline in user activity. I find it impossible to believe we still get 22 million unique visitors a month to 4chan.

i've changed a lot and, while i lament the loss of innocence, largely for the better
at the same time, there is a clear current through all my posts: an edifice of me which it is reassuring and affirming to see
i'm glad that i've changed - i hope to keep changing and building upon myself
i also wish i had more records and opportunities to speak

Pani poni dash1111!!!!! How isnt this original
Anonymous No.82966619 [Report]
Honestly how is desuarchive paying for the hosting of all those webms and jpgs?
Anonymous No.82966623 [Report]
The only change for me is thst I shitpost less.
Anonymous No.82966655 [Report]
>>82966612
the filter also checks for certain words and phrases; i'd argue this is mostly what it does since "original" only checks active and locally archived threads which doesn't mean much
but yes becky!

I read and cringe at my old shitposting. I cringe now at all shitposting. I've become the one that hates how everything got ruined thanks to shitposting.

if you have a stable enough identity to even remember what you were doing 10+ years ago you're not a true robot

not to mention you haven't even lost the memory to trauma memory loss? fakest fake robot ever

I've slowly degraded ever since I started posting here a few years ago, but recently I've begun working towards self-improvement and getting my life back. I'm 6 ft tall, 277 lbs, doing semen retention and going on a walk around the block whenever the weather is good, and my body is feeling good enough. No Nut November is going to be one of my biggest challenges yet, and if I can power through the next month without busting a single nut, then this will be the greatest achievement in my entire life, and I will keep going above and beyond, doing what I need to do to become a chad and get my life back.

topics, words, typing parents, a sort of "essence" of a post you can instantly tell is yours

if you posted more than just 4 word replies, and had a character, youd know

My personality literally did a 180 degree turn
Anonymous No.82968868 [Report]
I see my posts from 13 years ago as a literal teenager and the only difference is I was more articulate, sincere and expressive. I'm still as developmentally stunted and still the same nervous wreck at 30 as I was at 17.
Anonymous No.82968877 [Report]
I'm basically the same as I was when I would post on here during highschool and I'm 31. Still sensitive as fuck. I'm like that lady from 50 first dates each day is just a new day and I never ever learn

Now

>Got a bachelor's degree
>Got a shitty job

It sucks now and it sucked then, but I wish I could go back

I was much happier five years ago and had much more ambition/drive. I wanted to pull myself out of NEEThood and prove to everyone that I could be a functioning contributor to society. I wanted to show that I wasn't like the other autists and that I wasn't a useless eater that deserved to be killed for being genetically inferior. But the last two years have beaten me down and worn me out so much that all of that drive is completely gone. I've given up and resigned myself to the NEET life because I've accepted that an autistic fuck like me is going to be stuck depending on his family for the rest of his life, especially since they've kept me from seeking employment because they want me to keep living with them for some reason. I don't give a shit at this point if normies infantilize or dehumanize me, I hate them and I know they hate me. I'm too exhausted to care at this point. I dreaded growing up into Chris Chan ten years ago but it ended up happening anyway despite how hard I tried to distance myself from my own kind. I had passion and much more of a zest for overcoming hardship but everything has been sullied and dragged down so much that everything feels numbed down except for the most basic of pleasures.

ye i found myself with this counter argument to the antinatalism ideology, i felt pretty smart at the time
i like to go back on the archives to see what a brilliant mind i have, i'm an under appreciated philosopher king

ye i found myself with this counter argument to the antinatalism ideology, i felt pretty smart at the time
i like to go back on the archives to see what a brilliant mind i have shown, i'm an under appreciated philosopher king. so basically the guy was saying REEE dont have kids it's immoral, and i was like, dude, by doing that you are eradicating all morality since only humans are known to be capable of moral thought. but it may be irrelevant because it being moral or not is not the main thing, the main thing is that natalism is causing suffering.

im an autistic guy btw idk if anyone can tell and i dont think im that brilliant im just joking guys. just wanna contribute to the thread somehow

I refuse to use archives on principle because I believe that they go against the spirit of anonymous imageboards. If you want to save something, then you should screenshot it.
