Bioshock really isn't very good. The writing is sophomoric because Ken Levine is a self-admitted halfwit who doesn't understand what he writes. The world and art design are great but the actual gameplay is very dull and the narrative could only pass as praiseworthy in a video game. BioShock 2 is better, Infinite is genuinely awful with zero redeeming qualities.
Bioshock is amazing. Loved every part of it. The second is hot trash. It takes a bunch of words from the first one and attempts to make sentences that are not coherent but have the same sounds. There's no intellect to it

They removed content in the remake? I thought they just added foliage or what the fuck ever. The remake looks like dogshit and totally ruined the aesthetic anyway.

Yeah they removed interesting enemy behavior that took away quite a bit of realism, but hey who needs interesting gameplay when you have new and improved graphics that make the entire game look like it's lathered in vasoline

I've never played it but the original bioshock always had an interesting story. The big daddies, the political subtext, the 50s aesthetic.

Iirc enemies were less reactive to certain actions. For example if a splicer was set on fire, in the original they would run to water to put themselves out, where you could then electrocute them. The first part of this behavior was removed, taking away from the realism and an interesting interaction

the political subtext is the worst part of the series it has potential being able to insert which ever world view you dislike since rapture is so isolated but neither 1 or 2 really understand what there talking about

The Sink is probably the best player home in the vanilla game. You can teleport right to it, brilliant. I have mods that put a marker on the lucky 38 and allow you to go straight to the suite, though - otherwise I'd be using the Sink and chilling with Muggy and The Toaster
