Treating disease is one matter, but the quest for biologically immortality is disturbing. Why would you want to extend your mortal life indefinitely? It is probably because I believe in Heaven, but the prospect of modifying the human body to "hack" it well beyond our mortal lifespan sounds painful and disturbing. Have made my peace with death.
