I am gradually learning to give up and avoid interacting directly with people who don't "get it" and who are unable to engage or provide substantive feedback. I used to resent the idea that they may get to inherit or otherwise benefit from the creation of a world with affordances they don't deserve, but then had to even let that go. I don't think about them at all.

The last one I haven't finished yet has to do with element 80 (mercury) + element 8 (oxygen) = mercury oxide, the crystalline form having a figure 8 structure to its cross section in a certain orientation. Mercury is the God of travelers. Diana's tree or w/e the mercurial version was. Base matter.

Eventually you can't wish them away unless you go full hermit. They may have other qualities that you don't see or appreciated at this moment though. Despite all, we've made it so far together.
