The more the universe seems comprehensible, the more it also seems pointless.

what does that even mean?, absurdism is a philosophical position, it is not a field of study within the formal or natural sciences.

I disagree. I've been an atheist since I was 5, but the more you learn about fundamental physics, as well as life and consciousness, the weirder it gets.
However the thing that always keeps me atheist is that you could always push the question of existence back. If we are in a simulation, then what caused the simulation, same with a god. And an uncaused cause is incomprehensible to me, although it might be true, god or no god.

As a depressed nihilist I’m pretty sure the cause is just simple health. I’m an unemployed goon addict and I don’t eat well so existence seems very pointless but it wasn’t always like that. If you’re healthy then life is more meaningful. Imagine having a girlfriend and having sex a lot and having a decent job that allows you to socialize with cool people every day. At the very least life is meaningful in those little moments of eating, talking, and having sex.

I have awful religious trauma
The bible laws became unhealthy obesession for me for a long time.
They are impossible for me to follow. Sometimes pray to jesus for help, but cannot follow all the laws...
I love people of many religions, and dont believe they will go to hell.
