Thanks for the reply, yeah I have no idea what's going on as I thought the bios update was stored on the mobo, not the hard drive.
Here is it on the HDD after update with freedos.

Yeah that shit worked, thank you very much.
This is now the most up to date bios available for this old motherboard so I can now install the best CPU compatible for it (second hand). I'll post results.
