The Orville is not Star Trek. It’s not. Love it or hate it, it’s a Seth MacFarlane brand comedic take on the franchise. Would I rather have him this point than Kurtzman? Yes. Would I rather give Star Trek to one of you anons at this point? Yes (namely you NTT tripfag even though you hate enterprise) I just want someone who likes to Trek to be in charge. That shouldn’t be a big ask. If Seth MacFarlane was charged with writing a serious Trek set in universe, he would probably come up with something watchable on par with Voyager or Enterprise…like most of you would.
