>Unlike other Stay Gold crops, he was not a very temperamental horse and was very obedient to commands.
>He was the boss horse in Miho Training Center at the time, that’s why he has a poor relationship with Gold Ship, another boss horse. They are both treated by fans as rivals.
>Also has a poor relationship with Orfevre.
>His team and Gold Ship’s team also treat each other as rivals. Takatoshi Imanami, Gold Ship’s groom said in an interview before the 2013 Takarazuka Kinen: “We don’t want to lose to that horse.” In the end Gold Ship still lost to him 2 to 3.

>A very serious horse when racing.
>Likes children but children find them scary,
>Nicknamed "Mame-chin" (マ〜メちん; ‘Ma~me-chin’) by Toda, because ‘he looked like a black bean when he was little’. Fenomeno responds well to Mamechin.
>Fenomeno is one of the very few racing horses who actually like his trainer (since trainers usually force horses to do things they don’t like, few horses actually like their trainers). This is a stark contrast to Gold Ship, who always try to murder his trainer whenever he finds a chance.
>It said that he isn’t friendly to tourists and doesn't respond when tourist called him “Mame-chin”.
