Call me a schizo but I feel like this was all part of the plan. Mainstream Hollywood is all about cutting costs by hiring as few people for as little pay as possible (unless you're an A-List actor), and though AI seemed like the golden goose that was gonna sever half of their staff, people normally wouldn't accept the idea of a deep fictional narrative being manufactured by a robot.
But after years of people like BlackRock pushing pseudo-progressive bullshit, in turn getting more right-leaning (or at least more centrist people) disinterested, now they've been conditioned into essentially rejecting anything by "woke Hollywood pinko scum", so much so that they'll now take soulless algorithm-driven slop over multi-million dollar blockbusters.
More liberal and somewhat left-leaning types who may have championed Hollywood's hollow virtue-signalling have also grown accustomed to entertainment, specifically western animation, being sanitised into inoffensive mush, with so much corporate overreach and test marketing, that you could now basically swap it out with an algorithm and it wouldn't make much of a difference.
Shit's bleak, and I feel we've all inadvently chosen to accept it after years of political division, giving executives enough time to add another piece to our boring dystopia as we quarrelled amongst ourselves.

Personally I'm obsessed with british politics because they are the culmination of all that's happening in western Europe and Canada. The forced acceptance of cultures and ideologies completely incompatible with western values. The canadian PM recently said that "muslim values are canadian values" and that's so fucking absurd and stupid, it just makes me wonder how the west has reached such a point of delusion where they are okay with the complete replacement of their common values and ideologies, all out of fear of enforcing them on inmigrants because someone could call them "racist" or "bigoted".
The british political class is so fucking rotten to the core. Two weeks ago a woman was laughted at in congress because she said that they should ban burqas (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/DvyzTDIYHzE). In itself banning burqas wouldn't do much, the problem goes further than a piece of clothing but just the reaction of the congress says it all. How they all instantly react, act offended and ready to defend a foreign culture and foreign values before their own. It's crazy.
If brits don't set a standard and start to swing the pendulum on the opposite direction the rest of the western world will continue the same path. I 100% think they need a revolution or a huge governmental change but I don't see that happening any time soon so I guess we are all fucked and doomed to end up the same way.
