damage on cursed weapon is soooo mediocre it's actually unreal. your cursed weapon mode is your tank mode, you don't need the extra damage since that's not even the point and you should only have it out to parry. i'd replace it with heal on roar in a heart beat. it basically allows you to take bosses head on and tank for a bit when in other cases you would just beast mode, use your mega charge attack and that's it.
you need to actually aim your roar to heal people though
