True. The show does the best it can with the material. They do talk about heat issues in the books, like the stealth ships are only spotted because they're a slightly different temperature from the rest of space. They're absorbing all the incoming energy instead of reflecting it, so they're heating up after a while. When they go full attack mode they radiate heat like crazy.
