Eternal Darkness had really good spooky atmosphere. It's good enough to be unnerving with no enemies and exactly one jumpscare (which makes it extra effective). I'd love to see the game with updated textures

Only 3 people mentioning Eternal Darkness. It's a bit dated, but it's horror themes are truly great with some really good voice acting for the time. It doesn't rely on jumpscares at all (which makes the one jumpscare in the game very effective) and some of the sanity effects were just subtle enough to make you uneasy. Great game, it really deserves a remaster
