I live in the Deep South and am grateful to God for my simple life. I have been homeless and gone hungry before. I am a redneck and don't need much to be happy.
You could always move out West or up North and leave the South behind, there is plenty of money to be made in say California or New York. Just hit the highway or buy a greyhound ticket and you are gone. I know many who have.
The South is very important to me and who I am as a Southern man and I am here to stay and make a difference for my people.

I live on the edge of a small town in rural Alabama and it is very quiet and cozy. People are downright kind and there is a ton of natural beauty. I love the people out in the country and want move out into the sticks. These people will just give you food just because. This happened a lot working with road crews out in the boondocks. Kind and godly people, well armed and no tolerance for bullshit as well.

I live innawoods and always make sure to spend time outside and get some sunshine and fresh air.
It is incredibly peaceful and calm out here, and I have all the things I need to live. This rural Alabama, life is very inexpensive.
All the chaos and destruction is on my screens. There is a spiritual dimension to it, I cannot ignore the suffering of my people as a Muslim.
