Because the CN version was failing HARD. They only reported 3m for their anniversary patch. It was unironically close to EoS so they decided to jew global up and grab as much cash as they can before the game dies completely.
I really like this game but to a gacha veteran like me (yes, I know I'm sad) it's very clear that the game is heading towards EoS UNLESS it's massively popular in Global/JP (it's not). During the latest convention they stated that the game was performing "as expected" for Global/JP without much enthusiasm from the sales department. Don't spend anymore money and don't get attached.
