The battle shonen aspect of S2 is overblown, it's about the same as S1. Divine Revolte being this seasons Aura arc and Golden Lands fights being like the 2nd part of the mage exams.

The biggest difference is how many episodes of consecutive *flashbacks* there will be between these two main pieces of action
