Genuine question.
How do people end up fans of something, but they only experience like a third of it? Can I still be a fan of Harry Potter if I have seen four movies, read half a book, and only like Snape?
I am not being accusatory or an asshole, I am just honestly asking. I am in my mid 30s, and the more anime becomes mainstream the more this is going to happen.
I have heard of One Piece fans who just read Wikipedia entries and watch Youtube clips, and it is crazy how fandom elitism has changed and relaxed so much since I graduated high school in 2007.
