Even with the Arathi questline being absoltue shit, I'm still more hyped for what's coming in WoW right now than FFXIV.
Within the next year we'll have K'aresh zone + raid + dungeon, player housing (no lottery, 10K furniture slots, free placement), Legion Remix and Midnight launch.
FFXIV will have an alliance raid, a new cosmic gathering zone, one actual raid tier (4 bosses), two trials and another Forked Tower in that timeframe, with the next expac still a year away.

WoW will enter its second Midnight raid tier before 8.0 even releases. FFXIV's content cadence is the main thing killing it.
