I don't like Balatro because there's too little joker diversity and the game pretty quickly devolves into one card or flush builds. It very much feels like an autopilot game like grim dawn. I was pretty dissapointed after all the hype to find out it was just a retard game. I have yet to play a deck builder that doesn't suck ass.

It's like monster rancher. You guide the career of horses. You plan out their career with support cards and previous horses that serve as "legacy" parents, then pick their stats and abilities each round while choosing what races they compete in over the course of 3 in game years. This culminates in a final rating with stats and skills that can be passed down as your horse becomes a "legacy" horse upon finishing their career, with your performance dictating the likelihood of high stat yields being passed down. There are horses with different strengths and weakness and different career goals which mandate certain races, and tracks that reflect that. Both the horse's stories and the tracks are based on real world horse racing. It also has an absolutely insane anime, easily the best modern sports anime.
