I understand what you're saying, but generally speaking Toby's not immune to criticism either. It's sort of the main issue I have with you here and the other thread. It's not so much a matter of what's canon but more just questioning the character development within Toby's writing. I believe there are legitimate concerns with how Noelle in particular is being written, and using the "TOBY WANTS IT THIS WAY" isn't some magic card that can be summoned to shut down discussing it TBQH. It's the same with how I question his plans for Asgore, and whether he wants him to suffer or not is circumstantial to wanting something more interesting done with him — though I do feel like something's coming his way.
