I used to be very polite to women. Open the door for them, offer my seat, let them go first in line, etc. I also used to do this for older people.
The maybe ten years ago, two incidents back to back caused me to completely stop. I was walking into the post office with a arm full of packages and a well dressed maybe 27 year old blonde woman, kind of cute came through the door, looked right at me and kept on moving. I had to struggle to open the door again. Then later that same week I was going into a subway and I opened the door for a women about the same description, keep in mind this also lets her ahead of me in line once in the subway. She went around me and gave me a slightly disgusted and terrified look, no thank you, no smile and nod, just look at me like I was a piece of trash that was about to rape her or something. I swore right then, I would never do such things anymore.
Now I purposely shut doors behind me if I see a woman coming, stay in my seat, I will walk faster to get in line first, etc etc. I go out of my way to may life inconvenient for women wherever I can.
I hate women.
