Reposting from last night.

Shift's CEO and Stellar Blade's director, Hyung-Tai Kim, did an interview sometime this past week. It's a long interview at almost 80 minutes.

It's in two parts on youtube. The first part is where the clip of Director Hyung-Tae Kim talking about the differences between the female/male bodies came from.

Part 1:

Part 2:

The youtube auto-translation works pretty well, probably because Korean subtitles are present in the videos. But I also found a twitter that did their own translations from Korean to English.

Here's a bullet point summary based off of the twitter user's translation:

Fast Development
>Stellar Blade was mostly finished two years before release or around 2022
>gameplay elements were finished early on

Inadequate Korean Industry
>the reason for the delay was largely due to localization efforts of 8 languages, specifically, lip-syncing/facial animation (although I'm a little skeptical since two years for that seems like a long time. My guess is the open world areas were also taking up a lot of time to make)
>a lack of domestic (Korean) professionals and infrastructure that work with in-game cutscenes contributed to the delay

Cut Story Content
>this issue with the narrative side of development resulted in a lot of cut story content (about half of what was planned)
>mostly personal side stories were cut
>many cute and charming stories that were supposed to keep the game from being endlessly serious
>adam was shown to be more charming
>there's a story about how EVE collects outfits because she likes them (I guess kind of like the cans)

I watched the twitter user's translation of the second part and while I've seen some of these remarks shared already, thought it was worth listing the things mentioned:
