This shit always just feels pointless. Best case scenario is we get a more faithful adaptation of the manga but even at that I don't think it's really an ideal situation. I don't think people quite get how short the manga was. The anime had to actually build up and expand a lot of the stuff in it already and it was honestly the stronger for it. The old anime is still perfectly good. We don't need a remake.

That's because they were just regular fantasy. Stranger in a strange land. Regular people summoned to a magical land in order to perform a quest. Characters who actually cared about the world left behind like sane people and weren't just self insert NEETs who want to pretend to play Dragon Quest. I swear it's like the more they develop specific terms for shit the worse it always gets.
